Project Management

The two day Project Management workshop is designed to help improve your ability to plan, resource, implement and review projects and operational plans, which are critical tasks to defining your success as manager.

This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to develop skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time and budget, while meeting client and stakeholder needs. This program is based on the competencies from a nationally recognized accredited project management unit, BSBPMG501A Manage Projects.

Managing Vicarious Trauma

The Managing Vicarious Trama workshop aims to provide team leaders, managers and supervisors of frontline staff in the community sector with practical knowledge about vicarious trauma and its impacts in the workplace. This knowledge can be applied to help maintain a healthy work team and organisation that is better equipped to assist their clients and community.

Family Group Conferencing

Family Group Conferencing aims to teach a participative and human rights influenced approach to decision-making.

Angela McCullagh will be facilitating the training and sharing valuable knowledge that she has accumulated through her 25 years working within the child and family welfare sector.

The sessions are aimed towards practitioners from the Kinship Care program area, and have demonstrated their value in delivering positive outcomes for those affected by mental health, disability, loss and grief, substance misuse, family violence and child abuse.

Shame and Secrecy

The Shame and Secrecy workshop aims to enable participants to recognise and support clients who may be engaging in problem gambling or affected by another’s gambling.  People are often conflicted by shame, or avoid acknowledging the impact of problem gambling on their lives.

Participants will be resourced with techniques to start a conversation about gambling, and utilise a range of counseling techniques and resources to support earlier intervention and harm minimisation.
