Not-For-Profit Summit 2013: Actions for Sustainability
Wednesday 9th October 10.00am-3.25pm
West Gippsland Arts Centre, corner of Smith and Albert Street, Warragul

As Victoria’s demographics and population density shift, demands on community organisations are changing. The need for services and support is increasing and expectations are growing.

Funding for these organisations is also changing, with a growing interest in new opportunities, in addition to government and philanthropy in an emerging social finance market. New approaches are being sought – outcome based and client controlled –epitomised in the model for DisabilityCare Australia. These changes have huge implications for not-for-profit and community sector organisations. Decisions need to be made now about how to build the capacity and capability needed for the future operating environment.

How are not-for-profit and community sector organisations and government responding to these changes? What are the implications for the way your future business model evolves in terms of your relationship with clients, government, other service providers, the corporate sector and philanthropy?

The Not-For-Profit Summit 2013: Actions against Sustainability will be held on Wednesday 9th October in Warragul, and will explore how not-for-profit and community sector practitioners are taking action to adapt to this emerging environment and building sustainable organisations for the future. Practical workshops on governance, volunteering, workforce development and enterprise development are featured, and will appeal to, front line workers, operational staff and managers from a wide range of community sector organisations.

Register for this event by going online at https://community_sector_summit_2013.eventbrite.com.au/ before September 25 2013, and selecting one topic from each of the two sessions available and following the prompts.

Take action for sustainability now!
