Twelve graduates recently celebrated the completion of the Diploma of Management. Offered through a partnership between Psychiatric Disability Services of Victoria (VICSERV), The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, and Fundamental Training and Development, the course ran from July 2013 to July 2014.
The graduates gained skills in time management, project management, budgets and financial plans, managing people performance, quality and continuous improvement, change management, safety in the workplace and leading teams.

Learning & Development
The Centre offers a range of accredited and non-accredited training to members and non-members.
This two-day workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of leadership and the various skills needed to build leadership in oneself, teams and across the organisation.
We would like to invite you to the Debutante Ball for young people in care, hosted by the Commission for Children and Young People in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (The Centre).
The Debutante Ball is a symbol of the growth, aspirations and spirit of our young people and will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on Monday 11th August 2014.
The Resource Kit for supporting people to achieve economic participation and social inclusion is a workforce development and agency planning resource. It seeks to give workers in community service agencies tools they can use to increase vocational outcomes for their clients.
The kit has been developed by The O’Sullivan Centre in partnership with Good Shepherd Youth & Family Services and the support of St Luke’s Anglicare.

This conference provided by ACWA will deliver a unique Australian opportunity to hear international speakers on the latest research impacting children, their immediate and extended families, and the communities in which they live.
The Father Bob Maguire Foundation will honour our down-to-earth heroes by conferring its ‘Angels of the Street’ Awards on people you nominate.
We want to find inspirational people in our community who don’t realise how special they are. We want to celebrate their achievements, possibly for the first time.

The Volunteer Resource Centres of Boroondara, Eastern and South East invite you to attend a youth volunteering forum which will address the here, now and why engaging young people in volunteering matters. This half-day forum will comprise a keynote address followed by a panel discussion around how to engage with young volunteers and the benefits for your organisation’s sustainability.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse will be holding a public hearing in Melbourne commencing on Monday 18th August.

Children’s Protection Society (CPS) Children’s Centre in Heidelberg West is the first children’s education and care service in Victoria to receive the Excellent rating from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
