1912-2012 – The Centre is Celebrating its 100th Birthday

On the 15th October the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is celebrating its 100th year at a special Annual General Meeting.

The Centre is one of Victoria’s oldest peak bodies, and looks forward to recognising this significant anniversary with members, sector colleagues and industry leaders.

Dr Simon Longstaff from the St James Ethics Centre will be speaking on Big Society – the UK Conservative Party’s 2010 program to empower communities through giving local governments’ greater responsibility, while supporting charities and social enterprises, and enhancing government transparency.

Registration for the AGM will commence at 4.30pm in the Treetop Room at the Melbourne Museum, with formal proceedings followed by celebratory canapés and reflections on the Centre’s achievements.

If you would like to join us for this important event, please RSVP as soon as possible as places available are filling fast.

Date: Monday 15th October

Time: 4.30-7.30pm

Venue: Museum Victoria, 11 Nicholson Street, Carlton 3053

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare Tas Vic acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, the palawa/pakana of lutruwita and the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour their enduring strength and aspirations for the future of their young people, communities and lands.

We appreciate and celebrate diversity in all its forms. We believe diversity of all kinds makes our teams, services and organisation stronger and more effective.
